Maybe something Novelty-like or that will make them smile, considering their jobs.

Oztion, an Aussie auction site nearly as big as Ebay, has a gifts section that is then broken down into type of person. Interesting.

Well, if you insist on the gits, find out the doc's hobbies and get them somethign along those lines - ie my chiro is into fishing and flint-knapping arrow heads so a fly, pliers, good antler or chert work good. Same for the nurses except since its an ongoing thing a gift card to a favorite store would also work and my favorite - Harry and David online especially the winter fruits. But first - gifts are personal and are as much about the recipient as the giver so give in your style!

- For my GP who is about to retire:
Something homemade; a card, a candle, or something with a lot of love put into it.

- For the neurologist who saved my life;
Some sort of lucky charm to show how lucky you are to have had him in your time of need.

- Fot the nurses looking after me one day monthly.
An angel doll.

by GP do you mean a doctor...because by some responses I've read I think people are thinking a grand parent. anyways...bottle's of wine are always a nice gift. My ex's dad was an ER doc and I used to give him wine all the time. He loved it. gift baskets are nice too with mugs and coffee or candles. you can even make up your own with whatever they like in them.

I haven't met a medical person yet who doesn't like chocolates. Make some yourself with some fudge inside. They will appreciate the trouble you went to.
