I think that honesty is the best policy and you got it off your chest.
You will never look back and say, I should have told him how I felt. At least now you will know. Let him digest what you told him. Give a him a few days, if you feel like you can still be friends, ask him how he feels about it. Some guys don't want to be friends. Some do. It will be ok. Calm down. We all say things and and at one point in our lives, sort of panic and say, oh my, I shouldn't have said that. How did he react when you told him? Did he tell you to get out, hang up on you?, I am sure you will be ok. You got your feelings out and you shouldn't be ashamed of them. You can't do anything about it if he doesn't want to be friends, that will be his problem.

Nothing wrong with honesty! And my personal theory: everything happens for a reason, even if the outcome seems bad, it will eventually be for the best. Wait and see.

Calm down! Now, I`m assuming you told him you still like him, yes? So, if your really that anxious about it, ask him how he feels. If he doesn`t like you back, he isn`t worth liking, but if he does like you back, I hope things work out 4 ya!
