I new it was a place, but not specifically a store.

A warehouse for the storage of wine.


I don't think there is any other meaning to the word bodega.

Bodega means warehouse or a room where you store your stuff. That's what it means, at least here in the Philippines :)

It is like a convenience store in a Hispanic neighborhood. They sell groceries, newspapers, and any other sundries that might be needed.
