I am speaking from my sister-in-law's experience only. She had an abortion when she was 17. Got married when she was 19, was on the pill for several years, then got off it: trying to get preg. It took her 4 or 5 yrs after that, she got very discouraged thinking it was punishment for having the abortion. But she did get pregnant and now has 2 daughters (19 & 14).
So don't give up and try not to worry or get discouraged! I firmly believe the more you worry~the longer it takes!! Best of luck to you! God Bless!!

This part of my message is for teenexmomm. I AM a Christian and yes, I know that abortion is wrong. But what about forgiveness and not being judgemental. There is only one TRUE judge and He does forgive!!! Thank You, Jesus!!!

I've never known anyone to have problems getting pregnant after an abortion. I didn't simply because I wasn't in that kind of a relationship for a long time after my abortion, it was my choice based on the fact that my first pregnancy happened while I was on the pill and I wasn't ready to become a parent so soon after the abortion.

Unless the abortion caused an infection, it won't have affected your fertility at all.

The people above are vile individuals. How does someone who professes to be a Christian spout such pure venom?

if there had been no infections during the abortion phase then you dont have to worry about your infertility. its still the same. you can get pregnant again.
