asking questions about the unknown was an age old practice to delve deeper into different realms and seeking knowledge about that which is intriguing. from the beginning itself man has asked questions in order to find answers and gain understanding about everything under the sun. it was not an idea but was a way of life. a very apt question for this section. Socrates and Aristotle can be identified as the ones who kick started questioning as a means to gain knowledge. Alas! it's altogether a different issue why one of them was put to death for asking questions, coming up with different views and answers. And supposedly the allegation against them was "corrupting the minds of the young people" at their time.

now Answers is started by Yahoo! i love answering questions more than asking them. as a person, answering helps me in understanding myself and my views about different topics.

I'm assuming you mean this "useless" site that you have obviously used and are now "wasting" your time by posting on this pointless question in order to try and annoy other people who actually find this site useful?

If you mean that then i can't imagine how you managed to miss the fact that it is Yahoo answers. The clues in the title mate..........

I believe that man began questioning things very early in his history. Why your very post is of itself a question! It is beneficial to question everything. Most people suck, always question their motives. They just want to rip your heart out and make you question your very need to exist! Existentialism states that each man exists as an individual in a purposeless universe, yet he must question his hostile enviroment through the exercise of his free will, like asking inane questions such as yours!!!
