I need to know if the company Quixtar is a scam? My best friend wants me to get in this business with her...but it doesn't seem legit. I have found so much negative on this business. And instead of referring it to Quixtar, they are now referring it to "Legacy Business Group" or it now has changed to "Team Legacy." They say they only buy their product from Quixtar to get points. Can anyone help me with this? It just seems like one of those "too good to be true" schemes. I could be wrong. She says they are making about $3,000 a month now, but they make their money by driving other people to their business and spending points. I don't want to judge and be wrong about this business...but I just feel like I need more insight before I make my decision. Thanks for anyone's help in this matter.

Good on you for researching properly! Quixtar is part of Alticor, the 25th largest private company in the United States, with a history going back nearly 50 years. There are somewhere close to a million registered peopel with the Quixtar website - they can buy and sell the products and introduce others to do the same and get a percentage. Fortunately and unfortunately, when you become a Quixtar Independent Business Owner, well, you're independent. This means you can pretty much do as you please. Some people do the wrong thing and give the company a bad name, others do the right thing and give it a good name. "Legacy Business Group" is not Quixtar per se, it's a company that helps train and support Quixtar IBOs to build businesses. There are a number of these companies around. It's possible to make a deal of money out of Quixtar, but it takes time and effort (and yes, some money), as would any legitimate business. On the plus side is low risk and virtually anyone with the willingness to learn and work can build a business of virtually any size and any income. Ask virtually anyone who has done it and they'll tell you it was worth the effort. I'm collating testimonials you can read on my site at www.thetruthaboutquixtar.com

It's perfectly legit.
It's been around for decades.

It is a sales business. So, like any sales business you have to be comfortable "selling". If you're not, then it probably isn't for you.

My wife and I were making around $3,000/month as well. We have since moved to a new city due to a job change, but it was great while it lasted.
