Like for a kids book?
X-Ray as in xray astronomy and the type of light emmited by some objects
Y
Zodiac as in the constalations used in astrology that rotate through our skies... that might make kids confused about the difference between the two
I couldn't think of one for Y, here is what I found on wiki:
# In astronomy,
* Y stands for an hypothetical ultra-cool brown dwarf class of stars.
* Y stands for a December 16 through 31 discovery, in the provisional designation of a comet (e.g. C/1823 Y1, the Great Comet of 1823) or asteroid (e.g. (4324) 1981 YA1).
so i'd probably go with the first one
OR Charles Augustus Young who was an American Astronomer or James Young who is a astronomer and has a planet named for him or Issei Yamamoto who is a japanese astronomer with an asteroid named after him
