Does unnecessary littering bother you? And what about other kinds of littering, like used diapers thrown away in a parking lot?

I had a good laugh with that one and this coming from a previous smoker that didn't throw the butts on the street but in the trash can. Littering bothers me period. If you have ever had to pick up after these low-lifes that think the world is their trash can, like I have, it is infuriating. Pack it out and throw it in the trash can, whether you are in the city or country. I think they should have to pick up trash if caught, the lazy bastards! Or else have to live with it dumped in their house.
I don't want to look at their waste.

I live in NYC and toss my cigarette butts in the street. The street sweeping machines come by every morning and clean the streets. It's why shop owners sweep the sidewalk trash there. If I'm outside the city, I stomp them out and try to find a nearby trashcan. It's nice to toss them in the trash but it can be a fire hazard. Dirty diapers laying around are disgusting. They're like biological weapons!

Ummm, no. Littering is a fact of life. If they don't litter, then it is just going to end up as litter in a big landfill. That is all a landfill is, nothing more than a big repository for litter. Besides, such litter actually decomposes rather quickly, and adds good nutrients back into the environment. So in the end, I do not even think this is a big deal. Litter is a fact of life, and I cannot even imagine a metopolitan area without it. To think otherwise is un-American.

Only if gum chewers are going to be made to eat the foil wrappers from their gum etc.
Littering is a disgrace, unfortunately many towns have removed waste bins, claiming they are a security risk, so there is nowhere for anyone to put their rubbish.

Yes, make them eat it. These sort of people make me angry. They just expect other to clean up their mess.
They should be made to pick up litter for a week if they are caught doing this sort of thing.
