I'm 34 weeks and have gained about 27 pounds! To me this feels like alot. It's 100% in my belly, and I was pretty thin to begin with (not underweight, but on all the weight charts I was right at that line). I feel so self-conscious about it....people ask how much I've gained and some seem astounded like it's a huge number. I eat right, exercise, and pretty much let my body be my guide as far as hunger goes. Do I seem on track or is this something I should be concerned about? My drs. are among the very picky ones when it comes to weight...when I drop a pound they get upset and when I go up more than I should for those weeks I have to hear it too, which does nothing to make me feel any better! I feel bad...the most important thing here is a healthy baby, but I also want to feel good about how I look and feel.

Hi I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have gained 30 pounds!!! It sounds alot I know.. I totally was freaked out about it but no matter what I do now the weight is there. My doctor isnt concerned at all. I am the same as you and the weight looks to be all on the bump.. I figure now that as long as the little one is healthy thats all that matters.. I think they say 20- 30 pounds is in the normal range of weight gain during pregnancy but I am sure there are lots of people that put on more or less.Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and enjoy it!!!!!!

It really depends on your height and pre pregnancy weight. It is normal to gain between 25-37 pounds for a healthy pregnancy. I am 33 weeks and have gained 27 pounds so far. WIth my twins 9 years ago-I gained 100 pounds and ended up in a size 6 -1 year after giving birth-so try not to worry so much about weight while pregnant.

That sounds about right. My doc tells me 25-35 pounds for me and I was at the high side of the underweigh chart. I'm 5'6.

My SIL gained 60 pounds with both of her pregnancies, and she is smaller and shorter than I. Its all gone now, so relax and feed that baby.....who really cares what they think?

Eat well, eat nutritious food to ensure you get enough vitamins. Eat so that you do not feel hungry and so that you have lots of energy and feel healthy. Do this and you will be doing what is best for you and your baby. Your body knows what it is doing.

Personally I would toss the scale.
