The story listed below says that Syria calls for a timetable to leave Iraq. No kidding. They are helping the terrorists and want us to leave so they and Iran can take over.
On another note, are you sick and tired of the arrogance of stories like this?

Sure now everyone will be jumping for joy at our withdrawal without think of the consequences.
Why is Syria in such an all fired hurry to get us out?
They are the ones letting insurgents over their border.
Guess without us there - they can have free reign to take over and get Iraq's oil .
Leave it to the AP to embrace this idea.....

Well, if you base your opinions of the American people on high-profile government actors such as Bush, Rice, Rumsfeld.... how stupid SHOULD the AP think Americans are?
On the other hand, the AP was just reporting here. The report does not actually seem biased either for or against the timetable demands.
By the way, are you sick and tired of the arrogance of your President? I know I am.

We, Americans, have enough arrogance to give around to the world. I think it is a good lesson to observe someone else act so arrogant! Maybe it will teach us how ugly and isolating arrogance is.
Don't forget that the term "terrorist" is a label that is used to point the finger at someone we disagree with. For the Syrian, maybe the people we call terrorists are "freedom fighters."
I must say that I don't like the Syrians attitude, but I don't like Bush and his cronies attitude either! And really, the Syrians being geographically so close to Iraq do have more right to get involved with politics in Iraq than we ever did!!!
Sorry if you don't like this answer, but it may help if you think about it.

Do you think that I, or the government really cares what Syria has to say? The idea that they would even say something like that is ludicrous. We have opened a dialog with Iran and Syria in the hope of bringing peace to the region but it is not a forum for either country to dictate terms. The AP was just reporting, no more no less. Stick to the facts and not the inuendo of your opinion of the AP's motives.

The facts are that the commission approved by Bush is the one asking Syria for help, they also are having talks with Iran, so where's your Axis Of Evil now.

Yeah, right, and the US is the only country in the world with the right to tell other people what to do.
The rest of the world is even more tired of your arrogance than you could ever be of the Syrian's.
