I've realized that the world, in it's entirety, is going downhill.
Beautiful things happen, miracles occur daily, but what about humans?
What happened to respect? Why can't people be tolerant? What is so wrong with someone disagreeing with you? What happened to kindness? What is going to happen - what kind of world will our children have to live in?

The world needs to be changed. I'm not saying everybody converts to a certain religion or anything like that. I mean the world needs to see more kindness - regardless of who you are or what you believe in. Random acts of love towards strangers.

I believe that I can change the world, even if it's one person at a time. Is anyone with me? Does anybody have any ideas?

For such a difficult challenge I will have to sit in my chair and contemplate changing one person at a time. I am sure the ideas will just start popping out of my head!

I agree fullheartedly to everything you have said. Wonderful things happen everyday, but so do horrible horrible things. People can't let things go or just be nice to each other. If someone disagrees they automatically take offence, they don't even try to understand the other person's point of view. On a daily basis I will walk down the halls at school (freshman in highschool) and hear rude remarks and people getting angry because other's don't agree. I have found a small group of people who see things the same way you and I do, but it is very small. It is a group of people who don't care about what gender or age or race or religion you are. It is basicly a group of people that didn't fit in anywhere else, but only to someone who doesn't get it. These people are from all different backgrounds and races. I am a 14 year old female and I have friends that are 42 year old males. Not my parent's friends, but mine, because we see eye to eye. I also have friends with just about every religious and racial background possible. Even friends who speak different languages. It shouldn't matter about any of these things, only that we understand each other and want to be friends. Like you said, everyone converting to the same religion won't do anything. Neither will war. Just showing love towards everyone could start to change things. I believe that you can change the world. I believe that I can help. I believe that if people were to see things from the point of view that you and I are seeing them that we could all get along, and I believe that we can't force them to see things that way, that they will have to either be shown or find it on their own, but not forced.
