Technically you are under British suzerinty since you are in the Commonwealth.And moreover you are too near to your English origin(if you are in British Canada) to know the imperceptible change coming over. The Americans also did not till Britain precipitated the matter.But you are and should evolving a separate personality . They say that in the times to come USA will take over Canada.Even now I find it difficult to know whether I am in a Canadian or an American city.

You are definitely not in England. You are in Canada, and there is no longer a "british" part of Canada. There was in 1867, but not anymore.

No, England is 6000km across the atlantic. At one time we were an english colony but now we are an independant nation and the queen is just a figurehead.
