all people should get involved in the morality of government, not just Christians...ever read the speech by Pericles..he was a great statesman in Greece during its decline. he spoke of the commitment of men to society (similar to John F. Kennedy's..."ask not what your country can do for you..."). In his speech at the funeral to the fallen heroes he talked about the value of sacrifice to your country, but made it secular (not religious) in a country devout to their gods and soon to be a stepping stone for the birth of Christianity (without them Christianity might not have held so much sway with the Romans who embraced it and helped it spread throughout the empire).
Having a country based on morality and justice is the responsibility of all citizens. Religion must be left at the door to this discussion.

As long as they are taken in by politicians empty promises of banning gay marriage and over turning abortion laws, they will keep at what they are doing. I have no problems with Christians and am one myself, I have a problem with the way they try to force others to think and behave like they do and then get outraged when people dont bow to their whims.
They should lead by example.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it won't get fixed until the people, Christians and others, realize that we are in a war, the ballot box cannot save us, a righteous person will never be allowed on the ballot, extreme measures must be taken, it will cost dearly, and enough people must be willing to pay that cost. Freedom is not free, just ask our founding fathers, or any veteran.

I HELLBENT think there are too many loud mouth liberals like myself fighting to keep
God out of every day life. I am sure he is not happy with us but what are we going to do, we are liberal after all.

Christians should concentrate on saving themselves and each other and should vote for candidates with policies that would profit the people, regardles of their percentage of godfulness.

Most of those who vote in American elections at least claim to be Christian. I think what you mean is when are they going to start voting for the candidates of your choice. I don't think they ever will.

The religious right has more clout in Washington than you know, or maybe even they do not want you to know. We hear a lot about the Jewish lobby, but when it comes to the christian one - people close their ears and eyes. The religious lobby is just as dangerous as any of the rest of them.

I suppose that would depend on who you mean by 'evil men.'
Obvsiously your ambiguous acusation doesn't include Speaker-elect Pelosi or Hillary Clinton.
