Pinkeye is NOT a diagnosis but a symptom. It can be from something as serious as a bacterial infection to something as simple as smoke irritation. Again, pinkeye is NOT a diagnosis. Before putting anything in the eye it would be wise to find out why the eye has a problem in the first place and then treat that particular problem.

NO!!! Do not do that!! Listerine is mainly alcohol and it will burn like hell..Plus if its mint it will burn even more!!! You could cause serious eye damage. You should only drop listerine in the eye of the person who told you to do it!! Go to the doctor for pink eye...its an infection and an antibiotic will cure it.

Conjunctivitis, other wise known as pink eye can be bacterial or a virual infection. An doctor is the only one that will be able to make this diagnosis. Once you have a diagnosis on which one it is, the proper eye drops can be prescribed. To help relieve irritation until your appointment, you can use OTC eye drops that help lubricate the eye. Get into your doctor as soon as possible.

Put down the mouthwash and step away from the Listerine bottle. Listerine kills lots of germs and bacteria yes HOWEVER that burning feeling it give you in your mouth multiply that by 1000 and that's what it'll feel like in your eye. I'm assuming you're no masochist. The kind and amount of alcohol, yes alcohol, in Listerine could blind you. If you have an eye infection please seek help from a doctor. Please don't put anything with alochol in your eye unless it is prescribed by a legitimate doctor.

No it can not kill that kind that type Of bacteria. This is a strain from a cow. Anyway You need to get it from a doctor I for get what it is but it helps right away. I have heard you can take Epsom salt and put it in hot water and take a towel and soak it in it and lay it on your eyes and that it can relive some of the pain.

NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! You will get a chemical burn so bad that you can have permanent damage. There is no treatment for pink eye other than antibiotic eye drops.
