The reason I ask is because it is showing at the $1.00 theater in my town and I am contemplating on watching it tonight. I just dont want to waste 2 hrs. 30 min. of my time if it is not worth the watch.

All I can tell you is that I paid full price to watch it, and I had no complaints. I went it when it first came out. Had not heard any bad press about it, therefore, carried no preconceived ideas that it would be a waste of time watching it. As things turned out... I paid to get entertained. I was entertained. I did not waste my time by watching the movie. Nor will you... if you're interested in watching it simply to be entertained. In addition to that, you can leave the theater any time you choose. It's not like you're required to sit through the whole thing. If you find it doesn't suite you, get up, walk out, and step into another show room. Enjoy your evening.

I'm not sure what people you're listening to, but being that it not only got good reviews from a number of critics, but also topped the box office numbers from the first movie (and even set several records...and become only the 3rd movie ever to break the $1 billion dollar mark but did it in the fastest time)...I'd say you're listening to the wrong people.

The movie was very good and there's even a nice surprise at the end. Don't expect it to end on a happy note...as it's only the second part of a trilogy. The story also focuses more on Will Turner...with the return of his father, Bootstrap Bill Turner. But after watching the 2nd movie, I can see how this trilogy is really more Will's story than anyone else's.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much that I'm about to add it to my movie collection. I loved Pirates 1, but I found it to be a little cheesy at times. The second one seems a little more geared to adults. It's fun, entertaining... go enjoy it! Buy plenty of popcorn, make sure you go to the bathroom because it is a long one.

I personally thought the movie was very bizarre. Sure the Curse of the Black Pearl was weird with the people who morphed into skeletons but this one is just incredibly weird and the story line wasn't nearly as strong as the first one.

I thought it was good and very entertaining, it does drag on a little bit thou. The major complain i heard was that it isn't believable, (and the first one was) if you dont have anything to do tonight i would recommend going to see it.

Get down there and watch it. I don't know what you heard, but I think that POC2 was even better then the first one, NOT KIDDING! Two hours and thirty minutes are totally worth it.

We thouht it was entertaining and a good set up for another sequel. Capt'n Jack is not as central as he was in the first but there are some hilarious moments with his character!
