Its the avon one that kinda swivels up. You dont have to sharpen it. I do wear face powder. ill try putting the liner first & then the powder to see if theres a difference in the color afterwards.

& its not really old. just got it back in late October.

is it liquid? If so, it may be the way that the pigments mix with the color of your skin, resulting in a greenish look instead of the blue that most dark dark blacks have. You could try lining with the eye liner and then going over the top with a powder eyeliner or eyeshadow, that will help keep the dark pigment. Also there is eye primers out there that you put on before your eye makeup to keep the origional color in tact, go to sephora.com to find some, or i know mary kay makes some, (although if your using avon, i assume you will not buy mary kay!!)

Something must be wrong with the eyeliner because it shouldn't have a greenish tint. I use alot of liner and have had bluish tints but not greenish. Maybe you should try the new gel eyeliner from Avon I hear it is easy to use and it lasts all day. My sister has tried it and I will be trying it also.

I don't have dark skin, but I use Mary Kay Charcoal eyeliner and sometimes even put a little Mary Kay Storm eye shadow over the top.

I have this exact same eye liner..and it works for me. Is it possible that you have some sort of allergic reaction to it? I have no clue what else it could be.

Maybe the eyeliner shelf life has expired. Eyeliner does'nt last forever.

you should apply it harder and thinner,if it gets smudged or smeared with other makeup thats what might be changing the color!!
