because we live in a culture now filled with mostly bad parents, i hate to say it but its true. A child these days is surrounded by swearing in their own home by their own parents. Parents lie, and swear, sometimes actually AT their children, and then wonder why they get it back!?? It doesn't help that parents aren't allowed to discipline children properly these days, a smack (as long as its not a beating) never did ANYBODY any harm!
Where i live, in worthing, sussex, we recently had an article in our local paper with pictures of our local war memorial, and some young hooligans went and sprayed the swastiker all over it. These children have absolutely no respect for those that died for their freedom. Maybe we should send them to a mock Nazi camp, see how they like it, maybe they will appreciate them a little more after this.

Also..one more thing, is parents give their children such crap in their foods these days with ready meals and fast food, that it makes them hyperactive on top of all this!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on parents, either raise your children properly, or have them adopted so somebody else will.

Because there is no more coporal punishment that why And parents spoil their children too early.When i was a kid and would be rude I would get one bad spanking I would never try the same stunt again.So beacsue the parents cannot exersise their authoritve power AS THEY SHOULD,the children loos respect for them and everybody else.Another thing is they dont teach their children good values either-how can u have a child and not raise the child to believe in christ how then would the child learn to repect life and thus respect others?

We live in a bad culture, where this fact just is no longer taught. If people weren't so afraid to go out and teach this way of life, it would not be such an issue! Lack of respect is engrained in our culture, right down to the television and movies we watch. This only encourages the down fall. Unfortunately, everything seems to revolve around self-gratification and freedom to do what you always want, regardless of the effects. This is the wrong way to bring about a new generation of Americans. Something needs to be done about this, most importantly, starting in each individual home and in the classrooms. One of the reasons is this. When we (parents) were growing up, we were basically pretty poor and lacked a lot of the "nice" things. Then when we grew up we gave our children everything, because we didn't want them to lack for anything. Therefore, we turned them into spoiled rotten little twerps that have no respect for anything or anyone, including their parents.
