I have a cingular wireless phone, often called a cell phone. it bothers me that my mobile phone has almost zero mobility when it is plugged up to recharge the battery. I would like to know when i will get a wireless battery charger for my cell phone. this is a question from my friend. so i will relay the answers to him.

I think that kind of techonology is far from our time.

Yes I understand what your friend is getting at and it makes sense but it would be very expensive to develop that technique.

If you want to prolong your cell phone life I recommend buying an extended battery with more capacity.

Cell phone comapanies think:

Most cellular phones last all day with a regular battery and you can charge it while you sleep. (you won't be using it while you sleep)

I leave mine plugged in all the time. I'm pretty sure it wouldnt because it does not complete the circuit, so theres no way for the electricity to flow. Also, if it were drawing electricity, the electricity would have to be expended in the form of heat and your charger would always be hot. Also, even charging the phone uses such a miniscule amount of electricity it'd never really amount to any cost.
