Typical IQ tests look at verbal reasoning with analogies such as glove is to hand as hat is to ..... choices that include head, mathematical reasoning with number patterns such as what's next in the sequence 1, 4, 9, 16, ....., and abstract reasoning involving geometric patterns involving shape and shading.
