It's probably not a traditional Thanksgiving dish, but that doesn't mean that you can't have it on Thanksgiving. If your family likes it, why not make it a Thanksgiving tradition at your house?

Yes very much so the three things my family has always had with a large gathering is mashed potato's, potato salad, and homemade mac n cheese along with 8 other items at least besides the Turkey n Ham. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Its a staple at my family Thanksgiving. Everyone brings something and I take the Mac and Cheese (not the boxed kind, the real homemade kind) and every year it all gets eaten and every year I make a bigger amount. This year I am going to have to buy a bigger bowl. Some of the younger kids only look forward to the mac and cheese.

Our family always has homemade mac & cheese on Thanksgiving. Big family, so everyone brings a dish or two to sister's house. So have your macaroni & cheese and enjoy!

If i do not make mac & cheese, some family members say they will not come. I chunk my cheese, then i put a tablespoon of butter in a pad and let it cook a few minutes stirring constantly, then i pour my milk into that mixture and with a turner i stir it especially on the bottom to keep it from sticking. When it gets pretty warm i ad my chunks of cheese and continue to stir until it is creamy. I pour this over my mac and bake it until it is golden brown.

Not a typical Thanksgiving dish -- but we always seem to have it in addition to mashed potatoes. Mainly because there are usually a handful of kids at our gatherings and it is a sure thing they will eat.

You can eat ANYTHING at Thanksgiving and since it is T-giving day, it becomes T-giving food. I once knew a girl whose family ate Turkey Tacos on the day!
