what does it mean when i turtle sheds a layer of its shell?

she is small and still has a lot of growing to do. does it just mean she is growing?

Yeah, it does mean it's growing. My turtle does the same thing, although the shell comes off one by one in small sections.

Just like any other reptile it sheds when it grows. No worries.

She's growing. It's normal.
