I saw a videoclip of it, and a seagull just flew across the screen. Also, is the mosque used by Muslims (to pray)?

So... It wasn't a seagull? It really looked like one...

Anyway, I don't want to know if it *was* meant for prayers (all mosques are, duh). I want to know if *is* still used for prayers.

Yes, yes, I know that the Taj Mahal is *not* a mosque, it is a mausoleum.

But there *is* a mosque near it, a smaller domed building. I saw this in a documentary, and it said so. Is it still used?

Taj Mahal stands at the banks of the river Yamuna at Agra, India. This is about 200 kms west of New Delhi, India's capital city.

Taj Mahal was built by the Moghul emperor, Shah Jehan, in the 17th century in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.

The mosque near the Taj is still used for prayers to this day.

No it is not near sea but in the heart (middle) of India. It is also not a mosque used for prayers as it is a mausoleum.

The Tāj Mahal is a monument located in Agra, India, constructed between 1631 and 1654 by a workforce of 22,000. The Mughal Emperor Shāh Jahān commissioned its construction as a mausoleum for his favourite wife, Arjumand Bano Begum, who is better known as Mumtāz.

But now it has been reported that there was a Shiva (Hindu God) temple from the evidances available there and the Taj Mahal has been built on that.-

The Taj Mahal is not near the sea, it is in Agra, in the North of India.
It is believed that it was at one point a Hindu temple, never a place of Muslim prayer though.
