Light which leaves the source travels until it reaches something. If the thing it reaches is reflective, most of the light bounces off and keeps going. If the thing it reaches is translucent, some of the light goes through and keeps on going. If the thing it reaches is opaque, all of the light is absorbed. In any case where some or all of the light is absorbed, the energy is converted to heat.

It the light travels to outer space, it may travel a million files before it very slightly warms the surface of a frozen asteroid. However, light that travels long distances doesn't have all that much heat energy. Starlight doesn't warm you up much on a Winter's night.

Light, when emitted from a source, travels outward in all directions at 186,000 mps. When it goes out, it stops being emitted. The light that WAS emitted a second ago is more than halfway to the moon, or absorbed by the walls of the room, or whatever. There's something deeply confused about your question, as if you think light is as stationary as furniture. Where does the sound go when you stop singing?

Mine doesn`t go anywhere, when the electrical power to the light bulb is switched off, there is nothing to power the bulb, so it stops producing light.

It just disappears, because there is no long any current flowing in the electric circuit, when the switch is turned off, or the bulb is burnt out.
