In this martial art demonstration 2 girls (about 110-130 pounds) jump on a guys stomach from a chair.

How can he take that?

Thanks

We used to do this in Karate. We didn't jump from a chair, we just would jump from person to person, though. It takes a lot of practice to get enough control over one's stomach muscles, but it is possible. It takes a lot of concentration to keep them strong enough for the impact. During our testing, we'd have to do this one kata where we'd be wailed upon by a black belt. They'd hit our legs, arms, and stomach. The way we practiced was with many situps, and then punching each other in the stomach.

Question: Is the guy fat?? (no he can't be because you said the girls were jumping from a chair onto his stomach and if he WERE fat THEY would've been hurt) okay, ignore that little side track. Anyway, probably the guy has been doing this business for a while. When the girls play trampalene on him he probably tightens his stomach and thinks about frogs on lillie pads. That's what I think!! Okay, bye.

Strong stomach muscles, disciplined to respond exactly the way he wants them to when the girls jump on him. Some martial arts experts have utterly amazing control over their bodies.

He is too busy looking up their skirts. Actually when he makes his stomach muscles tight, there is enough tension to keep from killing him. It probably did hurt, it just didn't seriously injure him.
