I find this so difficult myself. I replay the event over and over, kicking myself for my actions... Lately, though, I have become more adept at forgiving myself and moving on. Whenever the image comes up in my mind, I totally ignore it and replace it with something else. ANYTHING else. I get busy, ring a friend, pick up a book, etc. Anything to take my mind off what's happened.

We're all human and we all make mistakes.

Unless the moment includes a life or death issue, don't dwell on it. Things happen to all of us and chances are your embarassing moment has happened to others too. Sometimes the embarassing moment is funny and learning to laugh at yourself will help in the long run. Some people let these moments fester and get out of control. It is totally up to you whether your entire day is ruined. Just smile and say oh well. WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember, life is bigger than one embarrassing moment. No one is above one of those moments. You've got to just let it go. Sometimes, as crazy as this sounds, I have to hold these"situations" in my hand as if it were a bird, and throw it into the air and let it be gone. Well, anyway, it works for me! Good luck to ya!

I have done plenty of embarrassing things, but I have learned that the older I get, I just laugh about it, and then others will see your not upset, and they will feel comfortable to laugh as well. Showing that you are upset over it, just makes matters worse!

Drink heavily. Just kidding. Really though, sometimes it just takes a day or two for the humiliation to wear off. Try occupying yourself with something else.. Go see a movie.

Oh how many foolish things I would like to redo, too bad life doesn't rewind. that one will be one of more to come, just go on and know we have all at some time in our lives fallen from grace.

Very simple...you forget about it...you accept and continue on and don't look to do somethng great to 'overcome' it. You have to practice seeing it as absurd. There's no other good choice except to forgive yourself and move on a quickly as possible.

Laugh it off, try to see the humor in the situation yourself, that's what I do.

Like my sister's skirt fell off her in church. She laughed as hard as everyone else did.
