I would make sure you are a good writer. Lots of writing in college. Liberal Arts would be the field. You are required biology, math (which you should be fine in, unless your grades are low), I think I would check into social science if I had to start over. LL.

1) You may change your opinoin on what you want to be, just a warning.

2) ANY AP classes are going to put you ahead! What's REALLY going to put you ahead is if you volunteer or shadow a child psychologist professional.

3) Volunteer/get involved--while it sounds odd, many schools will look at this and help determine whether you will be a good candidate.

Ethics. Don't forget to take a course in ethics. Then when you find out how the clinical psychologists are going to expect you to lie to children, to mislead and manipulate them, you may change your mind about the profession.

Focus on what you need to get into college, not your career while in high school. I'd recommend all the above.
