Ever since I could remeber i've been acting. But mainly to the neighborhood kids, or at family outings. There was a possiblity of me going to John cassablancas But I read reviews from parents and they weren't so lovely. How can I get an agent? And does it cost money for an agent? This is my all time dream. In elem. school kids would say what they wanted to be when they grew up and I always said I'd become an actress, im in high school now and I need that dream to come true. It's not about the money, But more about making a statment, about not letting your dreams go down the drain, and to follow those dreams wherever they take you. I'd really love to be on a show on Disney. Like Hannah Montana. I live in Florida, Like 10 minutes from Miami, And I know theres lots of posibilitys, I just need some help finding them. Soo someone help please? Lots of info. would be apreciated!

Join the Drama department at your high school. You're not ready to get an agent! If your school does not have a drama department, call the theaters in the city where you live and ask them to recommend an acting school in your city.

Don't dream of being a Disney actor. Dream of being an ACTOR. Miley Cyrus has a famous musician father, so it was easy for Miley to become a Disney star. Many of us actors have performed since elementrary school through college and graduate school. It's a long process. Take as many acting classes as you can.

Go to college and get a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater, after that, go to Graduate School and get a Master of Arts Degree in Theater. You will be better received by agents and casting directors with those two degrees.

If you had told us how old you are, it would have helped. Why don't kids do that here? A fifteen year old's situation is different from an 18 year old's and a twelve year old's.

The advice to take drama in high school is good advice. But, you either have it or you don't. Great actors are not made. They blossom. I disagree with the idea to take acting classes. Participating in the drama program in your high school and taking a drama major in college may be a way to go, but it's life experience and intention that ultimately puts you in the role.

If you are willing to be humiliated, embarrassed, rejected, taken advantage of and scorned, then pursue acting as a career. If your ego is not up to that task, go to college and learn everything you can about the world and then when in the world, find a community theatre and work there. If it's your heart that needs fulfillment, then just the joy of acting should fill it. If you want to be on television or the Broadway stage or make movies, then, the road before you is fraught with peril.

If I knew your age, I could direct you better. You have much growing to do, regardless, so take this time to ask more questions and pay attention to the lessons you learn. They are all fodder for your life... even a life on the stage.

An agent will come when you least expect it. Hmm I should write for fortune cookies, huh?

good luck

take drama classes in your school...you and i are in the same boat kinda...im also in high school and i have considered acting as well, and have been since i was 11.....you can also take classes a special acting school, but be careful which ones you choose....do small things to get there like i will be doing(do Extra work, or audition for small commercials or tv roles in papers) you can also hire an acting coach...i hope with this you succeed, and we can be on a movies set together one day...
