8 Team Playoff would be way better than the BCS crap

I cannot figure out and most people I have talked to figure out the BCS rankings, I think they should go back to the way it was before and it worked just fine. An 8 team playoff even a 10 team playoff would work, anything would be better than some no names voting on teams that they like and getting them ahead and the teams they don't like sitting in the back ground but being good teams that need recognition.

Have a compromise. Use the BCS system to rate the teams based on records against strength of schedule and have a 16 team playoff at the end of the season involving the 16 best teams. Everyone else that's bowl eligible can still go to bowls with the usual tie-ins/at large requirements and everyone should be reasonably happy.

Doesn't matter what you do you're still going to have someone who thinks they should have been in. The bubble will just move down to the 9 and 10 slots and then beyond that. Just like in basketball they take 64 teams and they still have to use the polls to place them in and theres always 2 teamss that have to playoff for the last spot. Who really believes that West Virginia and Rutgers and Boise State can hang with USC and Michigan and OSU or even any of the hot SEC teams? Sportswriters and computers really are a better way of narrowing the field. The samples are large enough to discount any bias by the writers and the computer is prettty accurate after 10 or 11 games. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/polls?poll=4&date=2006-11-19

8 team playoff. The BCS is a travesty and should be dissolved. There is too much influence by the media and advertising companies in the BCS to help decide who is the champion. If OSU and Michigan play again for the championship, first of all, the BCS should be dissolved, and then the next question is, is Michigan still the champ? Because they did lose to OSU before. What i'd like to see, First of all, USC lose to Notre Dame, and notre dame shouldn't be ranked where they are, I'd be nice and give them.. 11th. Big whoop, you beat the 3 service academies, check back with me when you beat teams like LSU, Tennessee, Georgia and teams of that caliber. Florida go up against OSU for the champioship, they had two gimmie games, that's it. All the other teams are quality, well rounded, and a threat. Sheer strength of schedule. USC should be booted down to the 4th or 5th bowl, and get a re-match against arkansas, and I hope they get the ever-loving dookie kicked out of them. USC almost lost to Washington, and Oregon, on top of it, they were beaten by Oregon State, a very much unranked team. Lets look at other top five one loss teams.

Michigan, Lost to OSU (1)
Florida, Lost to Auburn (ranked 5 at the time)
Arkansas, Lost 1st game of the Season to USC, and has then proceeded to stomp any and all comers.
Notre Dame, Lost to Michigan, Almost lost to Michigan State.

The Case for USC to be 3, pathetic. BCS needs to be scrapped. It's defunct as a system, and has been so since oklahoma went to all those championship games and got beat every time. "chokelahoma, where the wind blows through our brains!"
