Born on the 4th of July:
The first time I learned about the cultural effects of the Vietnam War.

Bowling for Columbine:
The first articulate movie I had seen that attempted to discus the culture of fear in America.

Freaks ( an old movie from the 1930's):
Originally, this movie was so "horrifying" that the negatives were dumped into the San Fran bay by it's own production company.

Fortunately, there was a copy.
It depicts the disabled as people with everyday desires and issues, even if the movie has a fictional storyline. All the circus "freaks" in that movie were real.

yep..."An Inconvenient Truth" swayed my opinion global warming. Can we stop it from occurring no; can we do things now to slow it down, yep. There is one thing in the film that really made me sit up and take notice. the melting of the glaciers on Greenland and Antarctica. Not so that they are melting, but if a big chunk of either one of these glaciers should come sliding off into the ocean it will make the tsunami that hit in the Indian ocean look like a small ripple on a pond.
