If you don't have help. Start the day before and keep it simple basics. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, potato salad (or baked beans or rice or whatever other starch alternative),corn and cranberry sauce. You can make your potato salad and stuffing the day before and keep in in the fridge. Your turkey depending on the size (remember 25 min. a lb. at 300 degrees for birds under 12 lbs) should be started that morning at a time that will still give you time to get yourself ready for whatever time you design to serve your guests. You can prepare the other dishes while the turkey is roasting.

Already bought the stuff; turkey goes in at 5 a.m. Pies are baked the day before; I buy the rolls, etc. so they aren't a problem, and I usually get canned cranberry stuff and sweet potatoes.
