I know whinging doesn't do anything, but I mean, I was like the perfect candidate. I was more than qualified in every possible area (except sport), and yet they still excluded me. I mean this year's prefects were all good choices, but shouldn't I have been one too??

I need advice to get over this, because it sucks being acrimonious about something I can't change.

Perhaps they recongnised the quality in you that you are displaying right now.

Please don't take offence, absolutely none intended, but the whole 'sour grapes' thing is sort or rearing its head a bit.

In my opinion, it's a total honor to be even nominated or shortlisted as a candidate, so good on you!

Well first off you need to tell us what your talking about not being perfect in. On the other hand no one is perfect in anything so I'm sorry. doesn't mean you can't be upset you didn't win. just try not to let it hold you down OK?
Best of Luck!!

At the risk of being offensive, did you trip over your ego on the way to filling in the application?
