i have looked on ebay, online stores, local tack shops, and i cant find one. i am moving to a really cold place with my horse and need something that will keep him really warm because he is use to florida. it needs to be an exteme climate one (with maching boots and full hood), not just any regular one.
i know that you can put flece coolers under their regular blankets to make them warmer, but i dont think thats enough.
if anyone can help i would be very grateful.

You can contact them on an 800# or by email if you want to ask which blanket/hood combo would be the best for the area you are moving to. They also have slickers and under blankets.
I will say, my show horse stayed in an outdoor pen with covering in New Mexico over a winter after he foundered on the way to a National Competition. Anyway, he went through the winter without a problem.
Another thought, your horse will probably grow a nice thick coat to help him stay warm. He might actually acclimate to the area quicker than you.
I would definitely look through the websites I mentioned. I have found they both have pretty reasonable pricing.

It used to be Triple Crown made the best blankets, so if you can find one on eBay that's 15 yrs old or older, you should be fine.
But for current manufacturers, nothing beats Weatherbeeta Taka line. And matching accessories. They have a website, just use weatherbeeta dot com.
I used to manage a farm of 30 plus horses, and worked with many others here in Connecticut for close to 30 years. Winters get in the single digits. Unless your horse is in a full body clip and turned out for more than 8 hours at a clip with no shelter, you probably don't need a hood, but that's just my two cents. And I don't know your level of competition, either.
Weatherbeetas take a pounding have hi tech materials, and fit well. I also like that they come with leg straps. You can also check out the Dover saddlery website for their Rider's International brand. Not as durable, but less expensive than Weatherbeeta. A great brand for the price.
All my blankets are either Triple Crown or Rider's International (I bought my horse's clothes before I became aware of Weatherbeeta, but would buy one if one of my blankets need replacing)

check bucas of ireland. they have some nice stuff. also when looking alot of extreme weather blankets and stuff will give you info on what temp they are good for. also the new zealand rugs are good .
