Do you ask the person that's on the phone if it's okay with them if you don't hang up?

I don't hang up, I put the phone down, go do what I need to and come back. I also have a cordless in the bathroom, because my husband inevitably calls me EVERY single time I'm in there without the phone.

I concider using the bathroom to be something very personal and private. I am not prudish about much, except that. I have no problem telling friends or family that I need to use the bathroom but I always tell them I will call them back.
I have friends that take the phone into the bathroom with them and talk to me while they are going. On one hand, I don't really care that they are doing that but on the other, I still think it would be polite to hang up and call me back when they are done.

If you are talking with a good friend and you really need to go, ask when you can call them back. If you are talking on a cordless phone, take it with you to the bathroom. If this is a business call, get a number. If you go to the bathroom really fast and it isn't long distance, ask if you can put them on hold for a few minutes.

Just cover the mouth peice or put the phone down(remember to tell them to hang on a minute or two) or you can tell them you'll call them back (maybe say you have an important incoming call).but don't ever just hang up.
If I am talking to like my best friend I just tell her I have to use the restroom and she'll wait.

Most cordless phones have mute buttons, use that or kindly excuse yourself by telling a little white lie like, i need to let my dog out or i need to check on my kids. They always work for me, just don't forget to pick the phone back up when you are done.

Lol ! No I take them with on my cordless phone .If Its one of my kids I tell them .If it's someone else I cover the phone when needed. I never ever thought about putting that in writing. OBoy!!

If it's someone you can say anything to it's OK to say I gotta pee and just put down the phone. if it's an important conversation either hld it or say someone is on the other line and press flash. Don't worry you can flash them right back.

No, Go to the bathroom while talking on the phone, during taking piss/dump, wiping my butt with toilet paper, flushing, hand washing, and drying my hand!
