In US alimony, maintenance or spousal support is an obligation established by law that is based on the premise that both spouses have an absolute obligation to support each other during the marriage (or civil union) unless they are legally separated.
During the divorce the court will make a fair determination based on the legal argument and the testimony submitted by both parties whether ther is a reason to order alimony after the divorce.

That will depend on your home state laws and any thing she can show the courts you have done so terribly wrong to be kicked out in the first place.
A guy I know, will be in divorce court Tuesday. He was told 3 years ago he'd look better in the eyes of the court if he paid off the house, made sure she had insurance, before he even filed!
He will probably have to pay alimoney.

Since she is suing you for a divorce, you will find out when you got court, as the judge will tell you at that time who will get what and how much if anything is to be paid and to who.

Probably. Who make the most money? And has she been working the entire marriage? If you were the main breadwinner-then yep-you will probably get stuck with alimony and child support if their are any kids.

well i guess that would all be up to the judge.but until the two of you go to court, you don't have to do a thing for her. but if you have kids i think you should do for them. that does not mean hand her money for them but purchase things that they need. keep any receipts if you have to give her money make in the form of a money order and write down what it was for. you will need them.
