Hi sweetheart, I would only say to you that you should talk to both of your parents and let them help you make the decision that is best for you as a person and an individual. You will have to take the responsibility for taking care of it and making sure that infection does not set it and if it does then the proper measures are taken immediately. I am quite sure they both love you enough to help you make the right decision. Happy "15th" Birthday and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!! Cindy Roo

I would say belly button, tongue piercings are too trashy and they ruin your teeth, I'm sure you don't wanna have chipped and broken teeth by the time you're 20, coz fixing your teeth would cost thousands, and there's more risks of tongue piercings, like infections and even death.
I got my belly button pierced when i was 15, I'm 23 and i still have it, it doesn't bother me or anything, and it's easy to hide, for job interviews.
Employers won't wanna employ someone who has a tongue piercing, they look down on stuff like that.

get your belly button peirced. It's safest and easiest to cover up. Don't pay attention to any of these idiots that say you won't get jobs with these peircings:
1. They are not in areas that are easily seen
2. You can always take the belly button ring out (I hear that tongue peircings close up really quickly).
regarding getting a job- I work at a LAW FIRM and my boss just hired a secretary with a tongue peircing so- even if you can kind of see it- it's not a big deal.

Your belly button will heal a lot faster and you'll still be able to eat. When I had my tongue pierced, I couldn't eat or talk very well for a week. When I had my belly button pierced it was pretty much painless healing.

Be aware that getting your tongue pierced may cause infection and that also if they pierce it in the wrong place they could hit a nerve and you could lose control of your tongue. Belly buttons are also a great source of infection. You need to take care of it immaculately.

I wouldn't go with either. I know a lot of people who have tongue rings. Many have swallowed part of their tongue ring in their sleep (they are lucky they didn't choke on it) or chipped teeth on their tongue ring. There is also a high risk of infection with a tongue ring.
With a belly button ring, many people accidentally rip it out when putting on their clothes. That one also doesn't heal very well.
I say, either go for a itty bitty one in your nose. Or go for one at the top of your ear. Less dangerous and less stuff can go wrong.

Belly button because you don't want people to think you are a whore. Most people assume women who have a tongue are nasty. Also your parents will be upset if you get a tongue ring. A belly ring can also be covered.

Get your tounge. You'll talk funny for a few day's but it heals faster. It also doesn't get infected like the belly button might.
