work truck
It's a basic truck. No carpet, comes with a V-6, std tranny, no power, vinyl seats, but you can add most of these things on.
It's a pretty good way to go, if you can find one with some options. I just bought an 07 1500 work truck, but the dealer ordered it with windows, locks, AT, nice cloth seats, CD. It came out alot cheaper than an LS with basically the same equipment.

I believe there is a consensus with "Work Truck".
The W/T package was available from most dealers with little or no options. To my recollection it was offered in both the C (2 wheel drive) or K (4 wheel drive) series and also in the 1500, 2500, or 3500 chassis (1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton)
One place I worked at years ago had a Chevrolet C2500 W/T for the delivery truck and all it had was a rubber floor mat interior, a bench seat, manual windows, and an AM radio. At least the shop opted for the automatic tranny.

was that a 1500 series? It was probably a marketing ploy represtenting "work truck"
