On two different games now it has done the same thing. When I click "Install game" on the games menu it doesn't do anything.

Well if you have games like the Sims 2 or really big games like that on it. Then it's likely that you haven't got enough ram (virtual memory) I suggest that you find a computer shop and buy a new
ram chip

You can get a decent one for around £75 $100

Kinda strange, and without more details, I can't really judge, but I'd suggest installing manually

Not as daunting as it sounds, what I mean is instead of using the menu, go:

My Computer-->Right click on the CD drive, click Explore-->find a file called 'Setup', usually.

This should cut out the menu, which may be the problem

other than that, I don't know, sorry

Same thing happened to me with DDO. I could open the main menu and such but upon clicking Install nothing happened. Apparentley, a lot of recent games use DVDs instead of CDs. maybe you dont have a DVD drive/arent using your DVD drive?

Could be anything. Are the discs contaminated in some way? Are they proper games on proper discs or did someone copy them for you? Could be some other fault. When you say it doesnt do anything, do you hear anything at all, does a message flash up? More info please!

Mine did that and it didn't work so I Re-installed windos. A bit drastic, but it happened on almost everything.

might just be thats ur computer doesnt have suffiecient memory, just buy a memory stick and see if that workes
