You should definitely try Freedom Fighters. It is a little bit different and you always feel like having another go.
For something a little more fast paced try Timesplitters - a superb FPS.
Or for something a little closer to your tastes, try Mashed.
It is one of the best racing games for PS2 ever made, not only that but you should be able to pick it up very cheaply: The redux version, Mashed Fully Loaded is currently £9.97 from Amazon.co.uk

Little Big Planet is a fun family game! 2 Person. A graphic shooter would be Army of TWO. Also two person hence the name. I own a 360 so i'm not totally sure, but i know i love both of them. And as long as you are trying and actually playing video games with him and not calling them stupid, he wont care whether or not you are bad, he'll love you even more for it because he gets to teach you then and feel even better about himself haha.

I love both of them. Their alot of fun. In Soul Calibur 3, you can create your own characters in Character Creation Mode. That's really fun too. I highly recommend that you try both of them.

Pretty much any sports game will be multi player. Dynasty Warriors 5 is pretty good if you want a hack and slash game.

hmm, so then you already burnout revenge? if not i recommend it. try ghost recon summit strike, i know it might not be your cup of tea but i tried it and i gotta say it's fun even four people can play, and it's a feature you don't have to unlock, any mission any no. of players and any gun. oh and try top spin, it's a tennis game, i know it souds pretty sissy but it is fun it even goes up to 4 players.
