Go back to where you had it done or to the doctor if you're worried, but you should be fine. Mine was very sore for about a week and a half, as far as I recall, but then it was fine. My body piercer also advised me to turn the stud in my nose, every so often to stop it closing up around the stud and keep it clean.
Since it's been quite a long time though, I would suggest seeing the doc for a quick check-up.

I pierced my nose myself and this happened to me. Its from the cartilage pushing out when the needle went through. Over time it will go away, and the soreness will also go away over time. I hated the darn thing when I first did it because it was soo sore. I'm a very expressive person and I make faces all the time, and like you said scrunching your nose kills!! But keep in mind you did just put a piece of metal through your nose and it's not meant to be there. It takes a little while but just keep it clean and you will be fine. Best Wishes.

Is the lump red? If so, it's infected. I had my nose pierced 10 years ago and that's what happened to me. First a lump, which turned red and hurt. Then it got all pus filled. Was so gross. I ended up having to take the piercing out and let the whole thing heal. (I only had the piercing for a month before it got infected.) Fortunately, the hole completely closed up and there was no weird scar or anything.

ive had my nose pierced for about 6years now and my friend had it done at the same time. she got a stud just like yours and had the dreaded lump. you need to get a stud with no ball on the end just a bent one will do fine and the lump should go away. she found this out. hope its sorted soon x

Hope ya not using Dettol neat, its quite strong, I would probably dilute it with some warm water. You should probably go back to the place where u had it done and let them check it out for you.

this sounds like scar tissue from the cartilage of your nose....be sensible and go see the peircing studio where you got it done and ask them! Unless of course you did it yourself...in that case....go see your local peircing studio and ask them!
It sounds like they'll just replace the peircing with a slightly bigger one to accomodate the wound until it heals better.
If you leave it it might turn out ok...if you leave it it might turn into something sore or even eventually scar the outside of your nose and ya dont want that huh?!
Good luck!
