a crush on someone is just a temporary feeling of admiration... if you love someone they occupy a great deal of your thoughts and you have a tendency to put their needs above your own quite often because you really do love them and want the best for them even if it means giving up a bit of what you want for that to happen. In crushes its just fun to fantasize about someone but in love you live a great deal of your life in accord with what that person needs to continue to be in our life. Love fills your life with purpose while crushes just fill it with fantasies.

A crush is obviously not true love. When you have a crush you may fantasize about them or hang out with and admire them but you do no truly love them.
When you love someone you cannot get them out of your mind. you constantly think about them, fantasize, you are shy around them, put their needs before your own.
Love is an emotion that consumes you for a long period, it is the feeling that this person is the one. A crush is temporary.
