We had a 99 Plymouth one. It was a great vehicle (till daughter dearest totalled it) except for a couple of transmission problems. The speed sensors went out about a week apart and I had to have it towed both times because the default gear was 2nd. Can't go too fast or too far like that. 3 tows annually from AAA and I had to use 2 within a week.

If they are taken care of, they are very good vehicles. The 6 cylinder 3.3 is better than the 4 cylinder model or the 3.0 V6. As with any vehicle, you have to do the proper maintenance. One of the things that tend to have problems is the transmission. This is usually caused by adding the incorrect fluid. DEXTRON will cause problems with the transmission.

A lot of transmissions from Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth minivans need rebuilding around 70,000 miles. I've had several friends who have had this problem even when they provided routine maintenance to their vans.

Our Grand Voyager had handbrake problems. we left it in to have a cracked tail-light replaced and they had a new handbrake cable ready for it. they said it had been brought in for the car's previous owner and was replaced free of charge.
