I was looking to see if the game Super Mario Brothers, that was made for the new Nintendo DS System, could be played on a PSP?

No becuase, as you know, they are two different systems. I think there are some illegal ways to copy on PSP, with homebrew, etc. But, it takes person who knows a lot about computers and again thats ILLEGAL. :)
That game is awsome, I reccamend getting it.

im not sure. but with the new psp update. some of the emulated games i downloaded dont work anymore. so i doupt it sorry
