Thanksgiving Day! Family comes over for Thanksgiving and put up lights after dinner. It's an all American tradition.

Some people were I lived have put up their Christmas lights and some people put up Christmas Light after Thanksgiving.

Well, I live in the Northeast so we like to put the lights and wreaths up before the snow starts flying, usually the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Traditionally for my family as early as Thanksgiving weekend and any time after that before Christmas.
Hey Suzee Blue, what Christian tradition? I'm Christian and I don't know of any 12 days before and 12 days after Christmas light tradition.

Probably around December 6 or so or some idiots put the up right after thanksgiving

Our family has a tradition of putting them up right after Thanksgiving. We seem to really be in the holiday spirit after everyone gets together for Thanksgiving.

Some people in my area have already put them up but haven't turned them on because they wanted to do it before it turned cold. Most of my neighbors do it the day after Thanksgiving.

I believe you should celebrate Thanksgiving before you put up Christmas decorations.

According to Christian tradition the tree and lights go up 12 days before xmas and come down 12 days after but its your choice.

Any decent weekend in November. My husband likes to put them up before it gets too cold outsite. Ours went up this last weekend. We just don't turn them on until the day after Thanksgiving.
