The way they are playing right now, yes, the Lakers will make the playoffs. I think they can even make some noise there, perhaps pulling a first, maybe even a second round upset. They won't make it to the finals though because 1) kobe is good, lamar can be something special, but their defense needs to be waay better (unless they can miraculously come up with a great defense) and 2) the west is really strong. You got the powers (SA, PHO, and DAL), the up-and-comers (HOU and LAC and I think LAL), and the others who have playoff potentials (SAC, NOK, UTA (they probably will cuz of the division), DEN) . Memphis and Golden State the rest of the Northwest won't make it this year.

The playoffs yes . but not to far into them . I could see them winning 45 games this year

they will, but they'll be fighting for the 7th or 8th spot.

The Lakers can actually make a run if Lamar Odom stops playing second fiddle to Kobe and starts showing what he's really made of
