Well no, sorry. Moonshine is about 120% alcohol not octane.
Alcohol is mixed into the gas to increase the burn but to run it at 100% no chance.
It also helps to burn gas cleaner. Race car driver burn alcohol and gas. There is also a fuel out there called nito methane. This fuel is ver hi octane. This is also why drag racing engines blow up

OK....being a hillbilly i know a few things about moonshine......being a gear head i know a few things about cars.

seems to me that you have watched an episode of the Walton's.

at any rate, what you are calling moonshine is grain alcohol, or ethanol.

ever clear grain alcohol is 190 proof, that means its 95% ethanol, and 5% water.....it will burn in a car.

here's the kicker......in order to make the same horsepower you have to burn twice as much alcohol as gas. an alky car will eat valves, burn pistons and be a huge pain in the ***.

oh i forgot to mention.....alcohol eats rubber....you have to use a carb made especially for alcohol.

another problem......until just last year or so, most cars couldn't burn more than 15% ethanol because the various oxygen sensors couldn't operate on the exhaust products.

SO.....unless you are real good at building carburetors (i doubt you even know what an AFB or an AVS is).....AND you have a large supply of ethanol that's under a dollar a gallon.....you had better just stick to pump gas.

Moonshine is grain alcohol, like Everclear but stronger, and illegal. It's made for consumption, but I guess you could run it in your car assuming it is made to run on alcohol not gasoline. I'm sure it would be cheaper using racing fuel.
