The problem assumes that there are no doors or windows, so perhaps the only escape from the room would be a trap door in the floor. If that were the case, two walls would measure 8 yards by 3 yards (24 square yards each), and the other two would measure 6 yards by 3 yards (18 square yards each). The total area would be 24 + 24 + 18 + 18, which is 84 square yards.

I am thinking 252 sq yards, if you are covering all of the walls including windows and doorways.

84 Sq yds. more if you are matching a pattern. overlaps and starting and ending points can cause you to lose about another 10 %
