Has anyone elce had problems with there chrysler voyager se because we have had the, steering & brake locking while in motion and almost had a crash, and then when once the chrysler dealer had it the said it was normal and nothing to worry about???? before that the cable snaped 3 times on the accelorator pedal and emergency cut out on the whole car?? and then to top it all up yesterday the little white box connected to the brake pedel snapped off and the brake lights were then constantly on. Aparently They were all nothing to worry about and all common.
I was just wondering if this is common or not and whether To get another when next getting a car. If you have had these probs please let me know.

i have mates that drive Chrysler stuff. It is the worst of combined American and Daimler bastardization of a vehicle.
I stay away from any American brands. My Toyota is nearly 14 years on the road, and only a starter and regular service. The starter probably because I was using it a lot in making deliveries for a living.
I think for us of average or below income, the reliability and performance of a Toyota, followed closely by Nissan can not be beaten.
Ask round, find out what owners of these models are saying, that's what I would do. And dump that Chrysler before you or someone gets killed. They are bad news from what I know.

You could have a battery with dead or bad cells inside of and the best thing to do is either go to a parts store or where you purchased the battery from and have then conduct a free test, they can also test the charging system too.Otherwise buy yourself a basic battery charger from walmart etc they run maybe 20-30 bucks and use it to test the battery and charge it on the highest amp setting it has. Also you could use a 12 volt test probe or volt meter, test the battery with the engine and key off , the battery should read a good 12 volts but if it's a really strong battery or good battery it should read more like 12.5 to 12.9 dc volts.Next start the engine and test the battery again it should start putting out more voltage about 13.7 or 13.9 volts but it all depends on the vehicles alternator output specs but for sure if you notice the test probe is either a lot brighter or the voltage is around there you know the alternator must be working. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if that vehicle has a factory security alarm system or the stereo has certain codes it requires when the battery has been disconnected be sure you have the procedures and any codes handy before disconnecting the battery, check the owners manual and dealerships for such info.Note you can place the battery on charge without disconnecting it but I prefer having the battery in a warm place when it's being charged.

Chrysler is not a marque that people rush to buy in the UK, since they do not feature highly in owner satisfaction rating surveys. It grieves me to think that Mercedes is linked with Chrysler. (Perhaps one of the reasons why Mercedes Benz had a troublesome period was due to a sort of 'Chrysler virus'!) And as for the dealer saying it was 'normal' for steering and brakes to lock while the vehicle is in motion... well, that would utterly destroy my confidence in both the vehicle and the dealer.

Check out your states Lemon Laws.
How long have you had the car?
we have a plymouth voyager van. the fan belt kept blowing off when we went through a puddle. After about 12 trips to the mechanic he finally fixed it. It required a new belt (3rd times a charm) and they added a metal plate to block the water from blowing up into the motor... In the meantime the power steering was gone each time.
