Days to keep pages in history stuck????

Question

I want to lower the days my pages are kept in my history, but every time I click the lower button the numbers jump all over. If I push Apply, no matter what the number says, it lowers by one day. WTH is going on???? WIERD

CLEAR HISTORY.................................
THEN APPLY OK

ONCE HISTORY IS CLEAR.
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESET.

a Virus or spyware perhaps? Do a scan with AdAware, it's a free download from lavasoft.
