Newsweek states : The chance of iraq having many al qaeda radicals is almost nonexistent-85 percent of the population are shia's and kurds - Both of these are against al qaeda, and generally keep al qaeda out. There is no alqaeda link"

First it was the nonexistent WMDS.

Then it was the nonexistent tie between al qaeda and iraq.

Now bush claims we are spreading "Democracy."

I must ask, whyy not spread "Democracy" in cuba?!?

Oops, I almost forgot, cuba has many allied nations including russia and china. Cuba has no oil!

Most of them actually don't know. In fact, most of them think that Saddam was hiding WMDs and that we actually found some. You can thank Sean Hannity and the rest of the dolts at Fox News for these perversions of reality.

Most Republicans are aware that Cheney's claims of ties between Al-qaida and Saddam were bogus. But Saddam DID support terrorism: he would send $25,000 to the family of any Palestinian who martyerd himself in a suicide attack against Israel. $25,000 is a LOT of money in economically-depressed Palestine. There have been a lot less suicide bombers in Israel since Saddam went out of the money-for-blood business. So on that level, getting rid of Saddam was a good thing.

Despite that, I still don't believe we should have started the war in Iraq.

First of all Saddam did support the terrorists, if not directly, thru funding. For almost 10 years, the limp wristted incompetent UN could not enforce its own resolutions and Saddam kept the inspectors out while his toys were hauled to other countries, Syria and Iran.

I still wonder about those 55 gallon drums of " insecticide" and those shells with the tops off???/ Could those have become chemical weapons???? You be they could, but the liberal media blew it off as a farming operation. Hey, I don't think you spray for bugs with 105mm artillery shells do you???

If you want to point your finger at Cuba, you can thank the democrats for the Bay of Pigs and giving Castro the country.

That is correct. There is not nor ever has there been a link between al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein and there is nothing to link Saddam with the attacks on 9/11.
No WMD's have been found in Iraq. You can bet if they had of been Bush and Blair would have been shouting it from the rooftops as justification for their illegal invasion

Since you're fond of quoting Newsweek articles, I'll return the favor:

Micheal Isikoff was the hacker that ran the story of Korans being flushed down the toilet at Gitmo.

NEVER HAPPENED

A LIE.

How many people died because of this Newsweek "article"?

Remember the rioting, particularly in Kandahar Afghanistan, because of Newsweek's factually accurate story?

Come on, man.............. weak

In recent polls they found that half of the American people still believe that tripe. The best line I've heard concerning the war " If Iraq exported bananas instead of oil, Bush wouldn't even be able to find it on the map".
