okay i need to know what the difference is between an mp3 player and an ipod.

An ipod is NOT an mp3. People never ever learn. It uses a different format. Dont get an ipod. Most people believe that they are the best, but this opinion is purely a result of them seeing everyone with them. In fact, the ipod is inferior to most other mp3 players. Many players now have more features, more space, and longer battery life for far less than the ipods. Look at the sandisk e260. I find it to be far superior to the ipod nano, its counterpart. The e260 is far cheaper, and can store more songs and pictures, can play videos, has an fm tuner and fm recorder, as well as a voice recorder. Its battery lasts twice as long. And it doesnt use itunes, which is a garbage program, and a very limited selection of songs to download.

an ipod is an mp3 player. but i wud advise u if u was getting anything not to get the ipod as they break and after a year dont work properly. iv had 3 so far and i dnt use them any more i use my walkman phone now

an mp3 plYER WILL ONLY HOLD SO MANY SONGS AND THATS IT IT JUST PLAYS SONGS THAT YOU DFOWN LOAD OFF THE INTERNET OR BUY A DOWNLOADABLE CARD YOU CAN PUT INTO YOUR COMPUTER,AN IPOD WILL STORE HUNDREDS MORE MUSIC,has more memory space they vary slightly in the things they have like games and info but would go for an ipod if you have the money if its just music you want to like work out go to the gym excersis then an mp3 player is better choice
